If you find you have some spare time on your hands, there are several short excursions into the surrounding area. Some of the most spectacular coastline in New South Wales is located to the north of Wollongong. The Grand Pacific Drive passes directly by the hotel, and ends at the Royal National Park, at the southern end of Sydney and the world's second oldest National Park.   The section between Wollongong and the Royal NP can be driven in about 2-2.5 hours, returning via the Princess Highway. http://grandpacificdrive.com.au  If you require a hire car, all major companies are represented in Wollongong.  Car hire can also be organized by the hotel.
